On-site exchange is a mechanismwhich allows us to derive an additional advantage from our plant photovoltaic. Who decides to install a systemphotovoltaic, in addition to incentives andtax deductions on 50% of the expenditure, it can count on an additional monetization system, the so-calledexchange on the spot.

How on-site trading works
Who has a photovoltaic systempartially satisfies the energy needs of your home using renewable energy. In the evening and at night, when the sun has now set and does not allow the system to function, the user will be forced tobuy normallyelectricity from the city grid, electricity that will go to pay with normal bills.

In thehours of fireof the day, when the sun beats strongly, the plant photovoltaic makes a lot. The energy surplus of the system - to be clear, the energy produced by the system during peak solar hours, not used by the home -, with theexchange on the spotit can be fed into the city electricity grid so as to compensate for the energy costs accumulated in the bill.

The mechanism ofexchange on the spotit's simple: on the one hand, the user buys energy from the grid and pays a certain fee, on the other hand, the same user, "Sells" clean energy to the grid and makes it pay with a contribution on account, in other words, a sort of reimbursement in the bill aptly called "Contribution in exchange account ". To fully understand the operationand the advantages ofexchange on the spot, we propose a practical example:

Giulia produced an energy surplus of 500 Kwh and, with itexchange on the spot, fed them into the electricity grid. Giulia's energy surplus has an economic value of 50 euros.

At night, when thephotovoltaic systemwas inactive, Giulia withdrew 200 kWh from the grid, for a value of 22 euros, which, however, are charged double due to charges, taxes and services.

In this way, Giulia has fed more energy into the electricity grid than it haspurchased. Giulia thus produced asurplus therefore, in addition to having a refund of part of the bill paid for the energy withdrawn, you will be entitled to onemonetary settlement.

In our example we talked about surpluses in terms of kWh. While in drawing the sums and calculating the monetary settlementyou will have to think in terms of money because the energy that is purchased from the network has a higher rate (including taxes, services, charges, transport ...) than the energy thatphotovoltaic system private places on the network.

If at the end of the year, the energy that the plantphotovoltaicprivate has entered the network through the mechanismexchange on the spothas a higher economic value than that taken from the network, in addition to not having to pay bills, the user will be entitled to amonetary settlement: the surplus produced can be monetized and liquidated by the GSE, or it can be put on credit in contribution on exchange account of the following year.

The positive side for those who exploit the mechanism ofexchange on the spotis given by the time slots provided by the Authority for Electricity and Gas. Electricity costs more in the F1 time slot which goes from 8 to 18, Monday to Friday. The highest peak hours of the sun correspond to this range, so the user will be able to feed clean energy into the city electricity grid in the time slot in which energy costs the most. Similarly, the user is led to use the electricity network more during the night, or when energy costs less.
